Terms of service
Last updated 5 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Round Computing Ltd ("Round", "we", "us") covering the Round mobile app, the website at roundroam.com, and WiFi networks operated under the Round name (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or connecting to a Round network, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service
Round lets your phone connect to WiFi networks hosted by participating venues using one identity, and meters that use against a prepaid data plan. Round is not an internet service provider: the internet connection at each venue is provided by the venue and its upstream provider. Round provides the identity, access and billing layer on top of it.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to hold a Round account.
- You must give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Your account and the network credentials installed on your phones are for you alone. Do not share them, and tell us at once if you think they have been compromised.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and your enrolled phones.
- Guest access, where offered, is a limited trial. We may withdraw or change it at any time.
3. Plans, payment and refunds
- Prepaid. The Service is prepaid. You buy a plan for a stated period (a day, a week or a month) that starts when your phone first connects and gives access at every Round network for that period, subject to the plan's fair-use total and speed, which are shown before you buy.
- Expiry. A plan ends when its period is up; time and fair-use allowance are not carried over unless the plan says otherwise. Plan terms, prices and currency are shown before you buy.
- Prices. Prices are shown in the currency of your account and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; a plan you have already bought is not affected.
- Payment. Payment is made in bitcoin over the Lightning Network or in USDT, through our payment provider; card and bank-transfer payment is not offered at present. Local plans are priced in a supported local currency (currently naira, in Nigeria) and global plans in US dollars; the app converts the price at the live rate when you choose to pay and shows the exact amount to send. A Lightning invoice is for a fixed amount and must be paid before it expires. A USDT deposit is subject to the provider's minimum of 1 USDT: an amount received above the price is kept as credit on your account, an amount short of the price is kept as credit and the plan is not granted until the balance is paid, and a deposit that arrives after the shown window is applied to your account by us on request.
- Sending plans. You may send a plan to another Round user where the app allows it. Once accepted, a sent plan cannot be recalled.
- Refunds. Because plans are digital and are available for use as soon as they are paid for, we do not refund purchased plans except where a fault on our side prevented you from using the Service, or where the law requires it. Contact support if you believe you are owed a refund.
- Free allowance. Any free allowance is a gift, may be changed or withdrawn without notice, and has no cash value.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- send spam, malware, or attack any network, phone or service, including the venue's network or Round's systems;
- interfere with other users, monitor their traffic, or attempt to access their accounts or phones;
- resell, share or transfer access to the Service, other than by sending a plan through the app;
- copy, reverse-engineer, or extract credentials from the app or the network profile;
- circumvent metering, validity periods or any other limit.
We may limit speeds or throughput on a network to keep it usable for everyone.
5. Venues and availability
Round networks are hosted by independent venues that control their own premises, opening hours and internet connections. We do not guarantee that any venue will be available, that a connection will be of a particular speed or quality, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. A venue may ask you to leave its premises under its own rules; this does not entitle you to a refund from Round. We work to keep the network up but it depends on power, connectivity and equipment we do not control.
6. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. It forms part of these terms.
7. Round's property
The app, the website, the Round name and logo, and the systems behind them belong to Round Computing Ltd or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and your network credentials to access the Service in line with these terms. Nothing else is transferred to you.
8. Liability
The Service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we exclude all warranties and conditions that are not expressly set out in these terms;
- we are not liable for any loss of profit, business, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
- our total liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid to Round in that period.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
9. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from within the app. Any unused allowance is forfeited when you do. We may suspend or close your account, or revoke a phone's credentials, if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the Service, venues or other users. Where we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any unused paid allowance.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be heard by the courts of Nigeria.
